Energy Disruptors: UNITE 2025
Calgary's flagship energy-transition conference. Unconventional in format — single-track, TED-style talks, no exhibition floor. The opposite of ADIPEC's scale.
Energy Disruptors: UNITE is deliberately the anti-ADIPEC. Two days, single-track stage, TED-style talks, no exhibition floor. 2025 ran 30 September - 1 October at Stampede Park in Calgary.
What's different about it
The conference is curated. Speakers are vetted, no pay-to-play slots, and the talks are tight (15-20 min). The audience is mostly Canadian energy executives + climate-tech founders + a handful of US visitors.
2025 highlights
- Pathways Alliance progress on the oil-sands carbon-capture hub — direct presentation from CEO + Q&A
- Geothermal-from-abandoned-wells as a real Canadian business case — Eavor and Sage Geosystems both presented
- AI-and-the-grid track — including a panel Tannistha Maiti joined on data-driven subsurface decision-making
Why it's worth tracking
For a research-AI company like EarthScan, Energy Disruptors is less about lead generation (the audience is heavily Canadian and not predominantly oil & gas operators) and more about calibrating the energy-transition conversation. What's considered investable, what's still science-project, who's actually building product vs. talking about it.
Tannistha represented EarthScan; we won't exhibit (no exhibition) but will return to the audience in 2026.
