EAGE 2026 in Vienna: bp-hosted, theme "Maximising value through technology and partnership." The 2026 edition is shaping up large: 200+ exhibitors confirmed, 1,700+ technical submissions. Four days, ~5-6,000 attendees expected.
What EarthScan plans
Building on Toulouse 2025:
- Technical paper: multi-basin EAN-DDA results, including the operator-side fine-tuning data we presented at SPE ATCE 2025 + IMAGE 2025
- Booth presence: first time exhibiting at EAGE Annual. Demo + lead capture infrastructure
- Hackathon participation: EAGE 2026 has a parallel hackathon track; M Quamer Nassim is on the participating roster
Themes we expect to dominate
- Foundation models for seismic: the "where are we, can we share data, who's pretraining what" conversation
- Operator-side MLOps: production deployment, not pilots
- Energy transition geoscience: Norwegian + UK CCS projects, Mediterranean geothermal
- bp's narrative: they're hosting, so expect strong presentation of their AI investments
