This policy explains what personal data EarthScan collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. EarthScan is a trading name of the DeepKapha / RealAI group and acts as the data controller for the information described here.
Who we are
EarthScan (DeepKapha B.V. / RealAI), Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is the controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach our privacy team at privacy@earthscan.io.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run this site:
- Information you give us, name, work email, company and message when you contact us, request access, subscribe, or apply for a role.
- Information collected automatically, pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, via cookies you have consented to.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not collect special-category data through this site.
How we use it, and our legal basis
We process your data under the following bases in the GDPR:
- Consent, for the newsletter and any non-essential cookies. You may withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest, to respond to enquiries, secure the site, and understand aggregate usage.
- Contract, to provide a service or evaluation you have asked for.
International transfers
Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses to keep it protected to an equivalent standard.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymise it. Enquiry records are typically kept for up to 24 months; newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you, and receive a copy.
- Rectify inaccurate data, or complete incomplete data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten") where applicable.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability, receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, and complain to a supervisory authority.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, encryption in transit, access control, and the same on-premise discipline we build into our products, to protect your data.

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "last updated" date.
